Orders and Shipping

What is your turnaround time for signs?

With each neon sign being made by hand by Shannon, our current production time is 3-5* weeks for a standard order. Although many of our customers receive their sign within 3 weeks, additional wait time may accrue due to increased demand, holidays, and unforseen events.

Where are Shanneon signs shipped from?

Shanneon signs are shipped from Cleveland, OH in the USA.

Who do you use to ship your signs?

At this time, we use USPS Priority Mail to ship our signs.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time we do not ship internationally. We only ship to residents of the United States.

What if my sign is damaged in transit?

Each package is insured for the cost of your order through USPS. Although we do take extra packaging precautions to preserve your sign, if for some reason your sign is damaged via transit, you can file a claim through USPS for reimbursement.

What if my sign is lost or stolen?

Once your sign leaves our hands and is turned over to the post office, we are no longer in control of its safe delivery to your home. Each package is insured for the cost of your order through USPS. If for some reason your sign is lost or stolen during transit, you can file a claim through USPS for reimbursement.

Am I able to pick up my sign if I am local?

Yes! We are able to coordinate local pickups if you are close to the Cleveland area.

Help! I got a notice that said my sign could not be delivered.

There has been cases where post offices required customers to come in to pick up their sign because they were deemed too large for delivery. In this case, you may have to either pick up your sign on your own, or set up an arrangement with your post office.

Payments + Returns

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. We also accept ShopPay which allows you to either pay in 4 interest free installments or extended payment plans. We are working towards getting accepted with AfterPay and Klarna as well.

What is your return policy?

Shanneon offers returns if your neon sign is faulty due to our own negligence. These faults do not include damage due to transit via USPS. These faults also do not include damage you cause to your sign due to mishandling. Due to custom signs not being able to be resold, returns and exchanges are not available. However, we will make every effort to resolve any issues if they arise.

Do you offer refunds?

We only provide refunds if your neon sign is faulty due to our own negligence. This does not include damage via transit, as your package is insured for its full value. This also does not include damage you cause to your sign due to mishandling. Because signs are also proofed prior to production, we also do not provide refunds for any spelling errors or visual mistakes.

Custom Orders

How can I order a custom sign from you?

You can order a custom sign from me by going to the "Custom Orders" page. There you will see my price outline and custom sign form.

How do payments work for custom signs?

Custom signs are invoiced through Square and must be paid in full (no deposit). AfterPay is an option for Square invoices, so you still have the option to pay in 4 interest free payments.

Am I able to alter my sign after submission?

After you submit your custom sign form, you will receive a proof design to approve. Revisions will be completed as necessary. After you approve your proof, production begins and you are unable to alter your design further.

What other type of signs are you able to make?

We are not bound to creating text only signs. We are also able to do simplified (lineart) illustrations and logos. We can discuss how well your design idea is able to be executed after submitting your custom sign form.

Designing Your Own Sign

Am I able to alter my sign after submission?

After you submit your sign design through our app, you will receive a final proof for you to approve. This final proof corrects any spacing issues and design pieces that are too short to produce. After you approve your proof, production begins and you are unable to alter your design further.

What color options are available?

We have an array of color options available for our neon signs. These colors include: white, warm white, red, pink, purple, blue, ice blue, green, orange, and yellow.

What size is best for my sign?

Each of our sign sizes has a character limitation crafted to help you maximize your use of space. Sizing options can also be discussed via our proof process.

Can my sign have a font different from the ones in the customizer?

Yes! Our customizer just showcases the fonts that are most popular and demanded by our clients. If you want a custom font for your sign, you can submit a custom order form on the "Custom Orders" page.

What if I want a sign that I can't create using the customizer?

If you want a sign that can't be created using the customizer, you can submit a custom request form on our "Custom Orders" page.

Will I get a design proof prior to production?

Yes! All designs come with a proof for approval prior to construction.

Shanneon General

Can I use my sign outdoors?

Unfortunately our signs cannot currently be used outdoors. The electrical pieces cannot withstand water and other related weather elements.

How are Shanneon Signs powered?

*Please note that all wiring is removed from official Shanneon photography for aesthetic purposes.

Shanneon Signs use a US plug as a power source.

How do I hang/mount my sign?

You are able to mount our signs in a multitude of ways! All signs come with 1/4" holes pre-drilled along the perimeter so that you can drill it into the studs of your wall.

We also have customers who used command strips to not damage their wall.

We also have customers who have ziptied/hooked the holes of their sign to wall grids and mounted those.

There is a ton of flexibility in how you mount your sign!

Do I need a remote and dimmer for my neon light?

All neon signs come with a dimmer control. A remote is not needed as the settings are able to be controlled by the dimmer cable.

What are the small marks on my sign?

Because Shanneon Signs are handmade, there may be areas on the acrylic or neon flex where glue or scratches may appear. In the rare instance that the marks are evident, they are always minor and not visible or noticeable when the sign is turned on.

Are Shanneon Signs made from glass neon?

No, our signs are made from LED neon flex, a safer and more sustainable alternative to glass neon.
